Health and it’s environmental determinants, and complexities of illness. Making sense of it all with Amie Skilton.
In this weeks Podcast I had a wonderful chat with Amie about very practical ways of reducing and fixing your exposure as well as some direction to take when you are getting lost in all the information to do with environmental toxicants.
Amie is a pleasure to speak to, an amazing person and so very knowledgeable on all aspects of health.
Amie is a Former functional medicine practitioner of 18 years, Amie Skilton’s view of root cause medicine was forever altered as a result of an environmentally acquired illness.
In 2017, after developing CIRS (chronic inflammatory response syndrome ) herself, she discovered the world of building biology and the various ways in which the built environment has a profound impact on human health. She realised her naturopathic, nutritional and herbal toolkit were only as useful as her environment was healthy.
She’s now on a mission to raise awareness in the public arena, and educate practitioners, on a commonly overlooked but monumentally significant influence on health and wellbeing.
